This video is about migrating a Visual Studio solution to ASP.NET 8, and it is adapted from a bonus chapter on the recently published udmi course on integration testing. The steps to follow are updating each project file to reflect the .NET 8 framework and updating the nugate packages to the latest version. After following these steps, the project needs to be built and run.
In Visual Studio, a fresh copy of the code is cloned from a public repository. The solution is then loaded, and each project file is updated to the .NET 8 framework. The nugate packages for each project are also updated to the latest version. After upgrading all the projects, the solution is rebuilt and run to check if it works properly.
After the migration is complete, the NET Framework is changed to 8.0 for all projects. The solution is successfully able to run and all tests pass. The migration to ASP.NET 8 is a success.
