The text discusses the use of validation messages in a customer form. Currently, there is a validation message next to each field. However, some people prefer to display a list of errors on top of the form. Three error messages are displayed: ID, name, and membership type. The customer ID is not showing because the form does not have a value for it. To fix this, a hidden field is added for the customer ID, which initializes its value to zero. By rendering the hidden field with a value, the error is resolved. The validation summary can also be used to display a general error message. Lastly, the order of the fields in the form is adjusted for better usability.
