Exercise Summary

This exercise is about adding a new movie to the list. A link has been styled as a button on the table to create a new movie. Clicking on it displays a form with fields like name, release date, genre, and number in stock. The labels of release date and genre have been overridden. All fields are assumed to be required for now. In the next section, validation will be worked on.

The link under each movie should be modified to populate the movie form with that movie when clicked. The page heading changes from 'new movie' to 'edit movie' when editing a movie. The update functionality needs to be implemented to update the movie in the database.

It is possible to encounter an exception during the exercise. The next lecture will explain the meaning of the exception and how to resolve it.

As a good programming practice, it is recommended to break down the exercise into smaller tasks. For example, first focus on adding a new movie without worrying about editing. Then, implement the form for creating a movie and finally focus on editing. Take one step at a time. Good luck!
