In this session, we learned how to implement and extend the Identity component in our project. Now, we will use ASP.Net Core Identity to add a user.
To do this, we will create a Razor Page called 'Register' in the Users folder (Admin/Users). We can quickly create the 'Register' form by copying and pasting from the 'AddOrEdit' form.
Next, we will add necessary labels and input controls for the form, including name, email, etc. We will also add client-side data validation code.
In the 'Register.cshtml.cs' page model, we will declare a property named 'UserInput' of type 'UserInputViewModel' and mark it as a binding field property.
Finally, we will bind the ViewModel with the 'Register' form by using 'asp-for' tags for each input field.
In the next video, we will discuss registering a user in our database. Stay tuned!
